The San Antonio CAPAS is a joint effort of the University of Texas at San Antonio, UTSA, and UT Health San Antonio, UTHSCSA , funded by a P30 grant from the National Institute on Aging (P30AG097142).

UT San Antonio Health Science Center is the academic health center of The University of Texas at San Antonio. It includes schools of medicine, dentistry, nursing, health professions, graduate biomedical sciences and public health, and a clinical enterprise called UT Health San Antonio, which conducts 2.5 million patient visits yearly.
